ASSOCIATION OF SEA FISHERIES COMMITTEES:

APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND MEETINGS

 

Report by the Chief Executive

 

Purpose of Report

To receive the Committee’s instructions with respect to the appointment of representatives to attend meetings, usually in London, of the Association of Sea Fisheries Committee.

Recommendation

That Members consider the appointment of representatives to the Association of SFCS and issue the appropriate instructions to the Chief Executive.

1. Background

1.1 The constitution of the Association allows each member SFC to be represented at normal meetings of the Association. Currently the Joint Committee’s representative is the Chairman, with the Vice-Chairs available to deputise if required.

1.2 The Chief Executive has previously also been appointed to attend meetings of the Association.

1.3 Members are invited to consider the arrangements for the forthcoming year.
