1. Background
1.1 This 50 page green paper was published in June 2006 with a 1 year consultation period which ends on 30 June 2007. The full consultation paper is available from the Clerk as a Background paper. An overview by the North West England Brussels Office is provided at Annex B.
2. The Committee’s response
2.1 A draft response from the Committee for approval by members is at Annex A. If members wish further comments to be included in the response, please provide them to the office by the end of March.
