OFFICER’S REPORT
TO APPOINT REPRESENTATIVES TO VARIOUS FORA AND MARINE SAFETY SUB-COMMITTEES
Report by the Chief Executive
Purpose of Report
To provide Members with a list of those Members currently appointed to represent the Joint Committee at various fora known to be active within the Joint Committee’s District.
Recommendation
That Members agree the appointment of Members to the various Fora and Conservation Groups for the forthcoming year.
That the Chief Executive, or an officer nominated by him, may also attend any of these fora meetings at any time.
1. Background
1.1 The appointment of Members to the various fora is traditionally agreed at the Annual Meeting of the Joint Committee. A list of Members currently appointed to those groups is attached at Annex A.
1.2 This year Annex A contains a fuller list of other groups which consider matters of interest to the Committee. Officers attend these groups when possible around other work commitments. If members are available to attend any of these groups and have relevant experience and knowledge, it may be useful to appoint them as Committee representatives. Any members willing to attend groups for the Committee should inform the Clerk with a view to a nomination at a future meeting.
