COCKLING ON LAFAN SANDS
The first day of the new cockling season went well on Lafan Sands, Gwynedd, North Wales. 220 people worked on the beach. Almost all the cockles were transported to Port Penrhyn by 2 large boats beached on site.
The day's success is believed to be largely due to the multi-agency committment of resources and our thanks goes to everyone involved for the support we have received.
